Montréal, December 10, 2015 – On behalf of the International Airport Professional Community of Practice (IAP CoP), Aviation Strategies International (ASI) and Munich Airport (MUC) recently co-organized an Airport Lab entitled Customer Experience through Innovation.
MUC hosted this unique and ground-breaking event on November 17-18, 2015, in collaboration with ASI, the IAP CoP Administrator. The Airport Lab initiative is sponsored by SITA. Focusing on customer experience for airport guests, MUC shared how it strives to surprise and enthuse its passengers through its Open Innovation Process, which includes co-creation with clients. The Airport Lab participants enjoyed a live process tour ‘behind the scenes’, exposing them to examples of MUC’s innovative products and services. Passengers also shared best practices, hands-on experience and new ideas through various workshops and activities.
The IAP CoP offers participants, graduates, instructors and stakeholders of the global ACI-ICAO Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP) an ‘active and live’ space to network, collaborate, and share experiences and best practices. The IAP CoP platform provides a forum for participants to communicate with their fellow members. ASI is the Administrator of the IAP CoP since its inception in 2012.
The MUC Airport Lab was the first of a series of similar workshops to be announced. The initiative aims to allow IAP CoP members to exchange ideas during face-to-face meetings while benefiting from the expertise of world-leading airports on specific subjects.
